rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship

rootEd Alliance launched in 2018 to address the most challenging obstacles to success after high school for students in rural America with advice, exposure and access to financial resources. The mission of rootEd Alliance is to clear a path to a stronger future for students in rural America. A collaborative philanthropic effort, rootEd Alliance grew out of a collective belief in the power of education to change lives and an understanding of the unique needs of rural America.

The rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship is dedicated to improving postsecondary education opportunities for high school seniors from eligible high schools in rural Missouri and Idaho. This renewable scholarship, up to $12,000 annually, may be used at an accredited, nonprofit four-year college or university. Qualifying students may be funded through graduation or a maximum of ten semesters.

Interested students should go to MyScholarshipCentral.org, follow the instructions to complete the General Application and then submit the supplemental application for the rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship. Completed applications and all required supporting documents must be submitted by April 15. Awards will be announced in June.
