The Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce that Liliana De La Garza will join the staff as Bilingual Student Advisor on January 2, 2024. Liliana worked most recently with the M.I.C.A. (Migrant & Immigrant Community Action) Project, where she served as a case manager. Prior to her work there, Liliana worked in education and community work with Saint Francis Community Services and the Children’s Education Alliance of Missouri. In 2024, she will graduate from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and criminology, with minors in psychology and sociology.

Liliana has a strong commitment to working with, and translating for, immigrant students and their families as they navigate systems in the English language. She is committed to supporting students when and how she can, while also identifying additional resources to promote holistic support and well-being.

Liliana’s warmth, as well as her clear commitment to our community, make her a wonderful addition to the student advising team of The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. Welcome, Liliana!
