Do you want help reviewing your college billing statement?
As the fall semester approaches, colleges are beginning to send out billing statements. It is important to carefully review these documents and be sure you can answer the following questions:
- Do you understand all the charges?
- Do all the charges reflect your specific enrollment, meal plan, and housing selections?
- Is all anticipated financial aid from your 2025-26 financial aid letter listed, as either applied or pending?
- Do you have a plan to cover any remaining balance owed for the semester?
If your answer to any of the above questions is “no” or “maybe,” we can help! Please contact a member of our Student Advising team. Our team can assist with:
- reviewing your billing statement and identifying clarifying questions to ask the bursar or cashier’s office, to be sure you are informed about all charges;
- answering questions about your financial aid package and aid offer, to be sure that you have a thorough understanding of what aid you are receiving and the implications of any student loans you plan to accept;
- discussing your options to address a remaining balance and ensuring you understand the possible outcomes of enrolling without enough resources to cover the cost;
- evaluating your back-up plans if the gap is too big;
- ensuring you understand eligibility requirements for The Scholarship Foundation’s grant and interest-free loan programs, as well as support you in the next application cycle, which opens January 1, 2026, for 2026-27 funding.
