Repayment Assessment Form

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis relies on the timely repayment of your interest-free student loan. Repaid funds are recycled into new awards for new students to pursue their educational goals. Please complete this online repayment assessment form to request a temporary reduction or a deferment of your interest-free loan payments

The online repayment assessment form must be submitted by the first day of the month in which you want the agreement to take effect. This includes borrowers who are signed up for automatic withdrawals (ACH).

You will need your Scholarship Foundation Student ID number to complete the form. If you do not know your ID number you may contact our office by phone at (314) 725-7990 or through the contact us form on our website. After completing the form, you will be notified with a decision and applicable terms for your payment agreement.

Please review your repayment options below.

REDUCED MONTHLY PAYMENTS

  • Reduced payments can be requested if you are experiencing financial difficulty. In order to complete the Reduced Repayment Assessment Form please be prepared to provide details about your monthly expenses and to upload supporting documentation. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you will be asked to upload your most recent tax return and/or your most recent income statement (pay stub) from your employer.
  • Reduced monthly payments cannot be less than 50% of the original payment amount. However, extenuating circumstances may be considered with proper documentation for approved lesser monthly payments.
  • You must pay the reduced monthly payment each month by the due date to be eligible for future adjustments. Payments are due on the 15th of each month.
  • Reductions are temporary and may be granted for a period of 6 or 12 months.

DEFERRED PAYMENTS

  • Hardship deferments may be requested due to extreme medical/health circumstances or a loss of employment. In order to complete the Deferred Repayment Assessment Form please be prepared to provide details about the current circumstances you are facing.  If you are requesting a full deferment for medical reasons, you will be asked to upload a statement from your physician explaining how your medical condition affects your ability to meet financial obligations (e.g., maternity leave, work injury, chronic illness, etc.).  If you are requesting a full deferment due to unemployment, you will be asked to submit an unemployment claim form and/or other documents to confirm that you have or are receiving payments under a federal or state assistance program.
  • Deferred payments are temporary and may be granted for a period of 6 or 12 months
