Jefferson Foundation, a foundation created from the sale of the former Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri, aims “to provide support for charitable and educational activities that promote individual and community health and well-being in Jefferson County, Missouri.” Jefferson Foundation board and staff understand the strong correlations between higher education attainment and positive health outcomes, both for individuals and the communities in which they live. Since 2014, Jefferson Foundation has partnered with The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis to provide scholarship grants and advising support to high school students in Jefferson County.
Jefferson Foundation Bravo Grants are renewable scholarship grants of up to $8,000 per year awarded to Jefferson County students with significant financial need, who have overcome extraordinary barriers to their education. Interested students should go to MyScholarshipCentral.org, follow the instructions to complete the General Application and then submit the supplemental application for the Jefferson Foundation Bravo Grant. Completed applications and all required supporting documents must be submitted by April 15. Awards will be announced in June.
