Recently, Governor Nixon proposed an educational budget that included significantly increasing funding for Bright Flight scholarships, while only moderately increasing funding for Access Missouri.
The Scholarship Foundation Executive Director, Faith Sandler, and Deaconess Foundation President and CEO Starsky Wilson co-authored a commentary in support of the idea that all proposed additional funding goes to Access Missouri. Their view is that funding students in this program is the best way to increase degree completion regionally and have the greatest return on investment.
The commentary was published yesterday and today in print and online in the St. Louis American and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
