Ann Arenberg began her relationship with The Scholarship Foundation as a donor first, then a board member from 1998-2006. While serving in that role, she most enjoyed reading applications and meeting students, learning about their lives and goals. Paul Arenberg joined the board a little later and brought his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to the Foundation from 2008-2016. He designed community partner programs and negotiated creative giving concepts to establish emergency relief funds for students and provided funding for needed staff professional development. Ann and Paul were true partners to the work of the Foundation in many ways.
Since their parents’ passing, Tom and Pam Arenberg, Susan Arenberg and Michael Schultz, John Arenberg, and Steven Arenberg have wholeheartedly supported the students of the organization in ways that build upon Ann and Paul’s contributions. This scholarship continues that work and reinforces the importance of community partnerships and sound advising and support for students.
Students who have participated in the Beyond Housing, De La Salle, Epworth, LifeWise STL (formerly Kingdom House), Marian Middle School Graduate Support, or St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP) programs are eligible for scholarship grants of up to $6000 per year that are renewable through graduation or for a maximum of ten semesters.
The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis is not currently accepting new applications for this scholarship.
