Teresa Steinkamp
Director of Advising
Teresa Steinkamp (she/hers) is the Director of Advising at The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis. She began her relationship with the Foundation in 2007 as a ScholarShop Sales Associate, Student Advocate, and interest-free loan recipient.
A proud alumna of The Scholarship Foundation, Teresa believes wholeheartedly in the mission of the Foundation and the people there, especially students. Teresa leads the Student Advising Program and works directly with students on the path to and through college. Affectionately known in many buildings as the FAFSA Lady, she provides support around all things financial aid. In addition, she supports students in college with academic, financial, health, and other personal matters as they matriculate to graduation. She also provides training and professional development to counselors and other advisors from St. Louis and across Missouri, presenting on financial aid and related subjects. In addition, she serves as a member of the St. Louis Graduates Professional Development Planning Committee. Teresa graduated from Loyola University Chicago with degrees in psychology and sociology. She then earned her master’s in social work, specializing in school social work, from Saint Louis University. She is a Licensed MSW in the state of Missouri. When not at work, you will find her running, reading, or enjoying the gift of being mom to her twins.
