The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis’ Student Advising Team will host its annual Advising Institute on Thursday, August 27^th. The event will be hosted at the Foundation’s offices at 6825 Clayton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63139. The institute has several priorities: community building, connection, and professional development for advisors, counselors, and other practitioners who are engaged in the heart work of supporting students and families on the path to and through college. This year’s Advising Institute will provide an opportunity to develop our knowledge on supporting immigrant students in a changing landscape; review recent changes to the FAFSA and financial aid policy; practice care for ourselves; and, hear directly from impacted students about their experience and prepare ourselves to support students in the months ahead. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
