This summer, Scholarship Foundation’s Student Advisors will be available to students throughout the region at various branches of St. Louis Public and St. Louis County library systems. In partnership with both St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis County Library, the Foundation will provide drop-in summer advising to new, continuing, or returning college students who need assistance with finalizing their college enrollment plans for the 2022-23 academic year. In addition, these drop-in hours will occur at the same time as each library branch will be hosting Operation Food Search for free summer meals. These drop-in hours are intended to help reduce summer melt, which is when college-intending students do not arrive on campus in the fall as planned. Financial matters can derail students’ plans and the Foundation’s Student Advisors are here to help.
Students can drop-in to receive help with finalizing their enrollment plans, including:
- Filing or correcting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA),
- Completing financial aid verification paperwork,
- Reviewing or comparing financial aid offers, or
- Discussing affordability and options to cover any financial gaps.
