I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to the donors because without them, I would never have been able to attend college.
Cari’s journey to becoming a U.S. District Attorney has its origins in personal difficulty. Yet, as a first-generation college student coming from a single-parent household, Cari thoughtfully created an educational and work experience pathway to achieve her dream. She took classes in American literature and criminal justice to major in political science and communication. Cari was selected to intern with The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation in Washington, D.C. and intends to enroll in law school after completing her undergraduate degree.
The Scholarship Foundation awarded Cari and interest-free loan and Bravo Grant. Cari also received a scholarship from Ava’s Grace Scholarship Foundation through its collaboration with the Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis and St. Louis Graduates. Ava’s Grace Scholarship Foundation works to provide financial aid opportunities to children who have an incarcerated parent or primary care giver.
