Neurodivergence Training

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis is hosting a neurodivergence training and we hope that you or someone from your organization will join us! The training will be presented by the Starkloff Disability Institute on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 11:30am until 1:00pm in the Community Room at the Deaconess Center for Child Well-Being located at 1000 North Vandeventer Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63113. This 90-minute training on disability and neurodiversity inclusion for employees and community partners will focus on:

  • Defining Disability and Neurodiversity: History, Models, Intersectionality
  • Allyship Best Practices: Language, Actions, Policies, Engagement
  • Supporting Neurodivergent Students
  • Accessibility, Universal Design, and Resources
  • Q&A

It is our hope that through this training, attendees will increase their confidence in resources, knowledge and understanding to better support adult students and harness the talent of individuals with whom we work who are of the neurodivergent community. If you or someone from your organization plans to attend, we ask that you please register no later than Friday, November 15th and arrive by 11:15am to allow sufficient time to select lunch and be seated for a prompt 11:30am start. The Scholarship Foundation team is looking forward to learning with you and expanding our capacity to better support people in the community we love and serve.
