2024 Summer Transition Workshops

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis will be hosting FREE Workshops this summer designed to assist students and families in finalizing your plans and navigating the transition to college. See below for details, dates, times, and registration instructions.


June 4th: Finding and Reading Tuition Statements, 5:30-6:00pm

Finding and Reading Tuition Bills/Statements will support students and families in understanding school’s tuition and billing statements. We will cover the basics of locating and navigating billing statements, reading billing statements, and understanding costs.


June 11th: Understanding Tuition Payment Plans, 5:30-6:00pm  Register Here 

The Understanding Tuition Payment Plans transition workshop will help students and families understand college payment options. We will cover the basics of payment plans, discuss how to determine if your school offers installment options, and compare real payment plan options from a few institutions in Missouri.   


June 13th: Determining Unmet Need and if Borrowing is Necessary, 5:30-6:00pm

Join us for an educational session designed to demystify the process of student loan entrance counseling and signing the Master Promissory Note (MPN). Whether you’re a prospective student, current borrower, or parent navigating the complexities of financing education, this presentation will provide valuable guidance on completing these crucial steps and preparing for loan entrance counseling. 


Jun 25th Creating a Graduation Plan, 5:30-6:00pm   Register Here

Creating a Graduation Plan is intended for all students regardless of where they are in the college-going process. We will discuss why creating a graduation plan is beneficial, walk through the steps of identifying your graduation goals, understand graduation requirements, and offer additional tips and recommendations for creating a graduation plan that works for you.  


June 27th: Locating and Accessing Campus Resources, 5:30-6:00pm

College is a new experience, and to be successful students need a village of support. In this workshop we will discuss strategies on how to build a student’s resource network on campus. This workshop will help students identify resources to support their health, safety, success, and well-being.
