The Scholarship Foundation was honored by Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) for its work in the College Access Partnership Award (CAP-A). Scholarship Foundation, along with The Wyman Center and United Negro College Fund (UNCF), received the “TRIO Champion” honor during SEMO’sNational TRIO Day Celebration. Executive Director Faith Sandler accepted the award for the Foundation’s co-founding role in the College Access Partnership Award. The goal of the CAP-A Program is to increase the number of low-income, St. Louis area students that not only enroll, but graduate from Southeast Missouri State University. The collaborative effort ensures that these students have the financial, emotional, and academic support to successfully complete their undergraduate studies. Since 2009, the partnership has resulted in over 25 Foundation students attending Southeast, nine of whom have graduated to date.
